When the cutscene concludes, you find yourself back on the tree bridge. The Chieftain performs a "ceremony", embuing you with glowing light. You will not be able to help until you have learned to read the writing on these monuments. The Chieftain says that the stone tablets and waypoints found around Coral Island are the key to helping the Goddess and ridding Coral Island of the "sickness". The strange creature you saw fleeing from the sacred tree before appears, introducing themselves as the Chieftain. Instead, turn left and follow the sakura blossom trail over the moss-covered fallen tree that bridges the river.Ī cutscene starts as you cross the tree bridge. When you reach the stone stairs, do not go north. Continue into the Forest and up the dirt path. Follow the trail of sakura blossoms and yellow glitter as it leads left from your mailbox.įollow the sakura blossom trail around the top edge of your farm and out of the farm's western entrance. The Chieftain has left another clue to find their home. If you close the letter without looking at the attachment, don't worry. They also include a drawing of their home as an attachment. The Chieftain says that their home is "left of your farm". It is addressed from the "Chieftain" and asks that you come to visit the Chieftain to learn more about healing the island. The day after you encounter the strange creature, a letter appears in your mailbox, just to the right of your farm. Instead, carry on with your day or sleep in your bed to progress to the next day. That being said, the only clue towards your next objective for the Mythical Dream Quest is "?", which does not give you a lot to work with.Īfter inspecting the tablet at the sacred tree and encountering the strange creature, do not look for the creature. You cannot find the strange creature anywhere on the island. You might think that the next step in the quest would be to chase after and find the strange creature. Startled to see you, it runs away from you and the cutscene ends. A strange creature appears out of thin air. After inspecting the words on the tablet, a new cutscene starts. You can find one in Starlet Town, directly south of the Lab. When you wake up the next day, visit any of the sacred trees on Coral Island. You can tell which trees are "sacred trees" not only by the glowing yellow stone tablet in front of them but by the green clouds and black twisted roots surrounding the sacred tree. You do not have to visit any particular sacred tree on Coral Island.

You pick up the Mythical Dream Quest automatically after you fall asleep the same night you meet the first objective of the Local Produce Quest, by meeting Sam at Sam's Produce.Ī cutscene of a strange dream begins.
